My students are embarking on virtual learning for the Fall semester due to Covid-19. When we are normally able to be in-person I am able to provide them with calming items to help them re-center themselves to get back to the learning Environment. The items that the students will receive will give them the opportunity to have calming items. As I do school counseling lessons with them, I will utilize those items throughout the lesson. Even though we may not be physically together we can all still show unity in by using the same calming items and techniques. This will also help our new students, who are joining us from re-zoning, feel connected to their fellow peers.
