I currently teach one course of Pre-AP Biology, two Zoology/Botany, two Pre-AP Anatomy & Physiology, and one AP Environmental Science. As an educator with various science courses, my classroom has the nostalgia of most science classes. Overall, I hope my students always feel welcome, safe, and eager to continue learning when entering my classroom. I teach at a semi-rural 5A school in Oklahoma. Although many other states have educational funding issues, OK is unfortunately at the very bottom for per pupil spending AND teacher pay. Our students are being neglected by the state to properly fund their education. For a science teacher, there are many things expected of us to provide true lab-based learning experiences. Those things are often out-of-pocket expenses from teachers, which is not the way it should be. With donors choose, someone can potentially provide my students with these essential learning opportunities!
