In my Title I school, students are faced with challenges most students will never encounter. My students come from low-income households and have not had much experience with the world outside of their small community. Many of my students face numerous challenges in their lives including hunger, safety and unstable living situations. Along with Title I, much of the student population is ESL, English as a Second Language. Despite the hardships that the majority face at home, they show up to school excited and ready to learn! I want my classroom to be a bright spot in their lives. My goal is to create a stable, fun learning environment where they feel cared for and safe. In order to create this environment, I need to equip my room with the tools needed to give them the best opportunity to succeed! With your generous support, I am confident that this vital nurturing environment can be created!
