This project is to help many students who cannot afford school supplies for themselves. This classroom does a packet each unit (which includes notes pages and assignments) to help students prepare for college. They will have to keep these packets organized, and take notes in them. The supplies include binders for them (as many cannot afford their own school supplies) and other supplies to go with it such as highlighters, pencils, and much more. Some of the supplies are for the classroom itself, such as staples, white board cleaner, tape, glue, and white board markers (for teacher and student whiteboards). Lastly, there are puzzles (brain teasers) and 3d shapes included in this project as that will help tremendously for those who have a hard time learning about surface area and volume because they cannot visualize a 3d shape. The brain teasers are for students when they are done with their work. It is meant to stimulate their brains, rather than them sit on their phones once they are done with their work. The students were very excited about the very few I had last year, but I didn't have enough for multiple people to use. Everything in this project is to help fund this classroom for this year and hopefully carry over into the next. These students cannot afford their own supplies, so this will help them and their families.
