Having tablets and laptops helps students successfully complete lessons, research, read online, as well as play educational games to prepare them for the future. However, many of my students will only be exposed to technology at school as many of them don’t have the means to afford computers, tablets, or even internet access at home. My students love making it to our computer center during differentiated instruction each day. Unfortunately, with the limited amount of technology, it's hard to have all my students on the computers every day. Our classrooms are not yet at the level technologically to meet their needs as learners. I want to expose my students to an abundance of possibilities and prepare them to be successful in a world where technology is the future, but I need the right tools to help them! This grant will help to provide my students with what they need in school in order maximize their academic success, as well as encourage them to use it in their everyday life.
