My students are 2nd and 3rd graders. They are kind, caring and dynamic. Despite the fact that they grow up impoverished, many of them with parents who work multiple jobs to make ends meet all while trying to learn the English language. My students are phenomenal at helping one another, despite the culture of violence that is all around them. They are determined and driven as well, despite the fact that they have disabilities that make learning difficult. My students are interested in learning and engaged and motivated during school. In a word, my students are my inspiration
