My students live in a tough socio-economic area where the majority qualify for the Free-and-Reduced-Lunch plan. Because family and financial challenges outside of school impact many of their attitudes towards their education, I work hard to be as positive and supportive as possible. Despite all of this, the students come in with great attitudes and a willingness to learn that drives me daily to be a great teacher. Therefore, I try my best to create a warm and inviting environment for every student.
