Having a book binder/comb binding machine to use to complete their books will leave them with a sense of accomplishment. Knowing their stories are headed for publication and have the possibility of being more than a classroom assignment--one that not only I will read but something their peers and the whole school will see. Publishing a book doesn't only bring the best out in my students, it makes their self-esteem skyrocket. Also, having origami paper and origami books so they can learn how to fold and create 3D objects for our STEM lessons would be more effective than using regular copy paper to create 3D objects.
