Giving my students and their families the opportunity to make and create a craft, like the snow globe we'll be making, will show the positive reaction of having families involved in their child's school life. It will increase my interaction with the families attending and provide an opportunity to build positive relationships. When parents are involved with their child's school life, academic engagement in known to increase. The polaroid camera will be used to capture the memories that will be created during this activity. The photo booth props will give the families an enjoyable time as they head over to the photo booth. The decorations and tablecloths will set the atmosphere of a "Frosty Fun" place. The Mason jars, hot glue gun, glitter, and Christmas figurines are the materials needed to make this craft a success. Upon creating their very own snow globe, students and their families will take home the beautiful piece that will bring back a positive memory of their school and time together.
