Students were able to work as a group to generate a poster collectively around a certain standard and topic, ie: compare and contrast, author's purpose, a story's theme, animals, etc). This allowed students who struggle with generating thoughts to be able to work with other team members that could help through the collaboration process. We have many students who are able to put their ideas on paper and share their thoughts with others so easily however, we also have students who don't like to do public speaking or think their ideas are wrong so they don't want to share. Through the collaborative poster process, students who are better at drawing or better at writing or better at getting their thoughts out could all be incorporated into the poster. These tasks are allowing for all students to access the text, the task, and their ideas to better show what they have learned.\r\nOur students here, especially in third grade, started using these chart papers as a way to initiate collaborative posters, basically giving them the chart paper and saying \"have at it\". But as we all know, once a chart paper is used it cannot be used again. As student saw their stock of chart paper being depleted quickly they were super excited to know that more chart paper had been donated and they were able to continue learning through QTEL tasks creating collaborative posters. Through the work of our third grade students, we were able to hype up QTEL tasks to all teachers, especially collaborative posters, that we have more grade levels wanting to join in the movement to getting all of our students to be able to access their grade level texts, so with your donation, we have the ability to push more chart paper into classrooms to get our students collaboratively working to meet a common goal. Something so small as chart paper can make such a huge impact on the learning of all students. We truly appreciate your donation and your time to help make this idea of embedding QTEL tasks into all classrooms a reality.","fullyFundedDate":1771620979687,"projectUrl":"project/collaborative-qtel-tasks/10106528/","projectTitle":"Collaborative QTEL Tasks","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Kai","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp2133270_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1531353201852","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-kai"},{"teacherId":8975441,"projectId":10109136,"letterContent":"Mahalo for your support in Education.
