Hello! I am Mrs. Jarvis, and I have been a teacher in my small hometown for the past 5 years. I teach 5th grade, and love it! I am always looking for ways to make my class interesting and innovative, but our district budget can be confining. We are in a rural area with high poverty levels and high cultural diversity, in the poorest county in our state. Several families are single-parent where the other parent is incarcerated. I just learned about Donors Choose during a staff meeting, and I am excited to get going on it!
