Middle school is where young adults decide their identities and form lifelong habits. Yet, ask any adult about their middle school experience and undoubtedly you will see a brief and telling cringe cross their expression as they think back to those embarrassing and awkward times. "Let's just forget about that moment in history," it says. How much better would the world be if all us adults had a more positive middle school experience? I work to create a safe and positive classroom for my students. A place where they can be themselves, even when "themselves" are rapidly changing from day to day! I hope to build a purposeful and academic classroom which empowers students to determine their own futures. For their part, my students are enthusiastic and full of potential. I can't tell you who they are, only what they could become: anything!
