My students all come from low income families and from varied backgrounds and home lives. They attend one of the older public high schools. They are all hard working students who have developed a love of choral music through our music program. Their school has turned its focus away from the arts with the results being many students left shortchanged. For many of my students, music is their rock. Music is what gets them through their other subjects. The more pride they have in what they do, the better overall person they will become.
