Every Art room needs a carpet. My students are always so excited to enter my classroom. Presently, my Kinder through 2nd grade students begin and end each class by gathering on the tiled floor my classroom. This time is important for us. Meeting with my students in a space away from the work tables allows the class to refocus after traveling across the school. I use this valuable time to discuss the goals and outcomes of each class. My students need a comfortable place to gather before and after our art making adventures together. I would like to provide my students with a warm and comfortable space for them to focus in on our goals for the day, and the art making they are about to embark on. A carpet in our Art Room would bring a comfortable communal space for us to all sit together to discuss our art adventures, goals, and plans for the future.
