I teach PreCalculus and AP Calculus A/B at Maynard H. Jackson High School in the historic Grant Park area of Atlanta. My students are inquisitive, hard-working, creative, funny, smart and persevering. Although MJHS is an urban, Title 1 school serving a diverse population of low-SES students, we are also an IB school with students who, through sheer sweat and tenacity, have made it into the Ivy League. My students come to school everyday, ready for a challenge and hungry for success. Tutorial is always packed. We share snacks and resources. We care about and support each other. I look forward to Monday mornings because of these young men and young women.
