Our school is in a low income community and resources are limited. Owning a computer at home for the majority of my students is a luxury that most parents cannot afford. Due to large budget cuts this year, our school's library was shut down which left students unable to check out any books. Cuts have also prevented our school from updating computers. Despite these setbacks, my students continue to demonstrate a determination to succeed everyday. I believe in my students, but I want them to believe in themselves. Reinforcing their skills through up to date technology will give them confidence and help build their minds.
