Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) uses data and best practices to help create a positive learning environment where students are encouraged to exhibit positive behaviors not only in the classroom but also outside the classroom. One of the difficult things to do as educators is to create a positive environment where students are the ones making the difference and are the driving force behind the positive behaviors. We want to acknowledge students for contributing to creating a positive learning environment by giving them something tangible in exchange. To help foster this positive environment, we want to give students incentives that they can work towards. The items range from fun versions of school supplies they need during the year and smaller items that they can use to decorate their notebooks and bookbags. Students earn "Stallion Stacks" by adhering to C.A.R.E. which we promote every day. They can exchange in the "Stallion Store" for these items. Our "Stallion Store" is NOT FOR PROFIT. It is a place they get items for being acknowledged for their positive behavior. Your contribution will help reinforce C.A.R.E. and help the students Come prepared, Always listen, be Responsible and respectful, and Exemplify excellence.
