Students will be using the water color paint and watercolor paper to create city shapes that portray how they see the world around them and how they view the living atmosphere of their families. Students will be participating in a group showing at the end of this year and will ultimately create a 3d diorama of one of their landscapes. Students will see their own ideas come to life and make something tangible for a project that addresses a problem present in some of the communities they inhabit. Students will experience the process of creating a 2d and 3d version of their idea come to life. They will discuss and critique their peers work as well as describe the similarities and differences in both works of Art. Students will also describe their hardships and how they were overcome to make their work a success . In the end the students will have a 3d display of their community and be able to discuss the hardships they are going through and all discuss how they as individuals and a small community can make a change.
