My students are lower income inner city kids from often broken families. A high percentage of children have a close family member in jail. 100% of my students qualify for free lunch, and approx. 50% are English Language Learners. Despite this challenging background my students are incredibly bright and talented. While it may take patience, we have put on many excellent performances and produced creative educational films for school and parents. My school is nestled in the foothills and over 100 years old. It is a high energy campus where children often times are releasing stress from the home at their safest place, school.
