Having this item in my class will allow my students to focus on the math lesson each day without being distracted by what is on their phones. Students have so many distractions on their lives and I would like to give them a time they can focus on what is being taught. Being able to focus on the lesson and not be pulled away by a text or alert will greatly increase student participation in class. There has been an increase in the use of technology in the school and feel that, when used properly, it is a great tool to help students learn. Cell phones have become an increasing distraction and are the reason many students "check-out" of the lesson being taught. Having this cabinet in the room will give the students peace of mind about their devices being safe and will help to facilitate a better environment for all.
