Hello! I teach Freshman English and Journalism at Dougherty Valley High School in San Ramon. In addition to Intro to Journalism, I also teach Journalism Publications for more advanced writing. I also get to serve as the advisor for The Wildcat Tribune (our school newspaper), which publishes a new issue for the community every month. My students are driven, studious, and eager to succeed. Most are looking forward to going to college, and they have high aspirations in life. They are some of the best and brightest of the next generation, and I would be willing to bet many of them are going on to be future leaders in the world. Whether we’re reading classic literature, discussing the basic lessons of life found in a good story, or reporting on major events in the community, my students are learning and growing. With your help, we can work to give them everything the need to succeed.
