The "Ça va?" series of magazines are geared towards second-year French language students and contains a variety of articles concerning world events, sports, celebrities, fashion, history, and science--all of which are of interest to most teenagers. It is filled with pictures to help illustrate concepts to aid French language learners to acquire the language by reading material that sparks their interest. I intend to have students read each magazine issue and discuss the articles they find of interest, and also use the topics to spark class-wide debates--IN FRENCH! It is proven that 70% of a literate person's vocabulary is acquired through reading, and thus the more my students read, the more fluent their French will become.
