Our classroom Wellness Center is a safe, cozy, and flexible space designed for students to take a brief pause, process big emotions, and practice self-regulation. Knowing that emotional well-being goes hand-in-hand with academic success, this sanctuary gives students choice and autonomy in how they reset, recharge, and prepare to re-engage with their learning.Students can visit and utilize five specialized wellness stations: 🧸 Sensory Station: Home to soft weighted plush animals—including cats, pandas, a sloth, and a dinosaur—that provide calming touch to relieve anxiety and soothe the nervous system. 🤲 Fidget & Tactile Tools Station: Stocked with a variety of hands-on fidgets to help students channel nervous energy, improve focus, and release physical tension. 🎨 Creative Drawing Station: A space equipped with blank paper and drawing supplies where students can express their thoughts and feelings visually through freeform art. 🖍️ Mindful Coloring Station: Filled with intricate coloring pages and tools that allow students to practice mindfulness, slow their thoughts, and focus on rhythmic, calming coloring. ☕ Calm & Comfort Tea Station: Features insulated hot cups with lids and a neatly organized beverage organizer, allowing students to enjoy a warm cup of tea or hot cocoa for a comforting physical reset.
