We are a highly dedicated and motivated group with extremely limited resources. Students in our group almost all live in poverty. Our school is 98% free and reduced. Our area is impoverished, so business partnerships are sometimes hard to come by. Our students attend a high school with a long history and strong traditions, but with changing demographics. This, along with a 33% teacher turnover rate in the last several years, has caused a disconnect between alumni and our current student body. Our student body has the reputation of being extremely 'rough' among outsiders, but once you get to know them, you immediately realize that they share and care deeply. They have amazing dreams, yet more obstacles to overcome than most of us could even imagine.
