These supplies will help my students on their journey of learning to love reading and writing, while at the same time not let them be hungry. Many of my students are ESL students and struggle with certain words/concepts, and annotating text and colour coding notes helps them a lot. Specifically, these products will allow for each group of 4 to have their own set of pens, markers, highlighters, sticky notes, and everything else they need to learn at their own design. Giving students the ability to be creative in their learning process by making things visually appealing makes the greatest difference. My students are more engaged when there is free range on how they can express their understanding of concepts and ideas. They also will learn collaboration and deeper thinking while using these supplies. The other products I have selected will help my students stay focused when they did not have a breakfast or just need fuel in their bodies. Going through a whole school day with no snack is a pretty hard task.
