The iPads will help my students become mathematical thinkers through our new program called iREADY. The use of technology is a must in the classrooms of today as well as this society. iREADY is a program designed to assist students with becoming mathematical thinkers as well as assist me with becoming a better math teacher through the teacher portal on iREADY. It’s time for my students to learn math so they can do math. The other manipulatives will assist me in teaching my students strategies that will in turn allow them to be successful mathematical thinkers. We use everyday items now but using items actually designed to be used in math class would extremely motivational to my students. They will believe math to be fun, exciting, and interesting.
