Through cooperative center rotations the children would use the resources to accelerate or expand concept development and applications within differentiated task. With the initial whole group task addressing the focus skill to promote discussion and peer teaching. Then followed by a task to be completed by group members’ Flex Task Assignments which address their academic needs for acceleration or expansion specifically. The task allow all children regardless of developmental stage to use the resources within a cooperative group and experience success together. Opportunities for all children to explore phonemes in a relaxed format that makes learning as well as the application of the skills learned fun, can be experienced through Scrabble Jr. and Boggle games. Students are then challenged at various levels appropriate to each as learners while being exposed to situations which require them to be creative.
