Do you remember when you discovered music? My students are very enthusiastic about making music together and they need high-quality instruments in order to reach their potential as musicians. The students in my classes are culturally diverse. They have connections to nearly all regions of the world. I am working on building a classroom where students have instruments that reflect their cultural origins. We also house one of four Talented & Gifted Enrichment Programs in the city and was the first to have a Bilingual T.A.G. Program. The program helps students not only to become academically successful but guides them into leadership roles in the school and the community. Our music program grows more every year with continued support of public school music from generous donations like yours. I am grateful for a music program that allows my students to become more independent musicians and performers.
