My students must keep up with the rigor within the expectations of the Common Core State Standards. With these books, students will be able to dive deeper into more complex texts while building comprehension, vocabulary, and fluency skills. My Students need access to books that are more complex in order to build comprehension and fluency skills needed for a 21st century learner. Students who read more complex texts from the elementary school continously build upon their comprehension abilities. With this new classroom library, my students will be able to read books that they may not have access outside my classroom. All of my students are eager, engergetic, and curious learners who actively work thier hardest to challenge themselves on a daily basis within our classroom. They show an astonishing interest in reading harder books and this project will only increase this interest and their abilities.
