My students are 3rd graders in an urban public school. Many are struggling to meet the stringent learning standards and daily struggle with a sense of failure and frustration. Several are dealing with significant emotional and educational disabilities. Several of my students lack some of the basics necessary for having a successful school year, and need support on all levels. These children need to be inspired to continue their quest for knowledge and learning despite their present situation as well as a sense of awareness of the world around them. Being able to access technology and interact with the world through the internet, will inspire them to continue to work hard and aspire to reach their goals.
