Double bass players always need a rest from holding up their instruments, but finding a great bass stool can be challenging. You never know what chair will be the right height for a bass player or will feel most comfortable. We hope to solve this problem by reviewing some of the best double bass stools that we have found to work well. Many bass players sit on bass stools while playing which instills proper technique. Although the number of bass players in the our orchestra has expanded to over 13 total bassists within the three ensembles, many of our musicians are left standing for a 90 minute rehearsal or for an even longer concert.
