In Colorado's urban schools there is little attention focused on creating a safe place for girls to discuss issues directly related to their lives. I teach at an alternative high school. This is a choice school and one of the last steps for students who are struggling in public education. Our school focuses on providing "at risk" students with an affective education and a diploma!
