I am a 1st grade classroom teacher working at Hawthorne Elementary, a public school in Seattle. I have the privilege of working with curious, kind and fun loving students. I stumbled upon a quote recently that read, "When a flower doesn't bloom you fix the environment in which it grows, not the flower." All students are capable of achieving great things. I want to facilitate growth in my classroom that allows students to reach their full potential, to empower themselves and their community. I want to create an environment where all children bloom.
