My students are the most amazing people I have ever met. It is crazy how five-year-old children can change people's lives. Last year, my first year teaching, was a whirlwind of an experience. I had 36 students and had to learn the ins and outs of being a teacher real quick. Because of their innocence and pure love for the world, sometimes I think my students taught me more about life than I taught them. Because of the lack of resources both in the school system and the community, my kids are deprived of many basic resources that they deserve. It is a shame that human beings this wonderful are denied the simple resources from working markers to STEM exposure. Most of them lack consistency in every aspect of their lives and the most reliable environment they find coming to school each day. As their teacher, it is my job to provide them with the best possible experience in Kindergarten as I can. Going into my second year teaching, I am ready to hit the ground running and do just that.
