Every student has different learning needs and abilities. Flexible seating will allow students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. My students enjoy having the freedom to work from different locations around the classroom even if it means just sitting on the floor with a whiteboard as something hard to write on. I want my students to have a comfortable learning environment. I have selected carpets to replace the old ones that are currently in my classroom which students love having, giving them something soft that they can lie or sit on rather than the hard, cold tile floor. The lap desks will replace the whiteboards and provide students a desk to work at while working on the carpet. The reclining stadium seats will allow for additional seating options that are lightweight and can be easily used in different areas of the classroom. All of this equipment will give students more options for their independent work time.
