Most of my students are english language learners and struggle with socializing, speaking and listening. Having these hands-on partner and small group activities on hand can help to foster conversations and collaboration among peers. I am requesting these materials to help my students who struggle with phonics and number recognition as well as to facilitate language and conversation. In my classroom, we practice listening and speaking on a daily basis using cooperative learning strategies. This will give my students the confidence to not be afraid to speak up despite seeming language barriers and thereby prepare them for the challenges ahead.
