My students take pride in their work, and their investment and dedication to their craft often means they need to work on projects at home to meet assignment deadlines. Transporting artwork between home and school is a tricky proposition without something to keep the work safe from dents, creases, stains, and rain/puddles. These easy-to-carry portfolios will keep their works secure, and will also come in handy when students present their portfolios to colleges and arts organizations for feedback and review. As the year progresses the physical portfolio also serves storage for all the artwork created throughout the year, ultimately going home with each student one last time at the end of the school year. I still have my high school art portfolio, and I hope these will become cherished keepsakes for my students as well.
