These novels are for ongoing reading both inside and outside of the classroom. It is incredibly important that students have their own copies to take home if necessary and to have in class to use. I have students who are interested in reading books from diverse authors and interest in reading the Color Purple has grown among them. I currently have about 6 copies on my shelf and since student interest has grown for this particular novel it has become necessary to acquire more copies. As this our 4th year being open we are sometimes in need of outside help.
