King College Preparatory is a selective enrollment high school located in the Kenwood neighborhood of Chicago. We serve approximately 800 students in grades 9 - 12 and are part of the Chicago Public Schools district. As a teacher and librarian, my goal is to cultivate a supportive and productive environment for all students that welcomes and represents them fully. The library functions simultaneously as a learning and social space, and prioritizes community and cooperation. Whether we're hosting classes, reading books, getting creative, leading book clubs, supporting technology troubles, or have fun, we are dedicated to supporting the mission of the school and all who pass through our doors.
