I teach a diverse group of enthusiastic fifth graders. My school is very diverse. We have more that 20 countries represented at our school. In my class alone we have seven countries represented. It is my job to create a caring and safe environment for these students. I like to provide students with authentic opportunities for learning. I do not want to just prepare them for a test, I want to prepare them for life. By showing how what we learn today will impact what we do in our life student do not have to ask "why are we learning this."

About my class
