These supplies will allow students to safely take part in training with mitts and learn the patience and practice of putting on hand wraps properly. It also creates a sense of unity among the club allowing students whose families can't afford supplies for a sport to still fully take part in our activities. Boxing has always been a 'poor man's sport' and many of our students can not afford even basic hand wraps to train with. New students who join the club are sent home with a set of wraps and told to practice putting them on and taking them off when they are learning at home. It helps them learn to focus, to be patience and, most importantly, that you don't always get it right the first time (or even the second time).
