Individual light tablets will allow students to experiment with letters, sounds, making words and a variety of math skills. These materials are easily manipulated, allowing us to focus on content instead of paper and pencil formation. Pattern blocks, traditionally used for designs, can be combined to make letters, numbers or words- teaching literacy skills as well as how the blocks can be manipulated in various ways. As students gain confidence they can move into paper/pencil activities utilizing the same skills. The light tablets may also be used for tracing letters/words and practicing letter formation. The letter and number construction sets will show students how to form the letters. The possibilities are endless! Individual light tablets will be academically motivating, confidence building and making learning fun!
