One memorable moment was during small groups when students worked together to build and read new words. They loved physically moving the letters around to practice spelling. The thermal pouches have also helped me create reusable center activities, so students can practice tracing and blending words multiple times without the materials wearing out. The standing desk has made it easier for me to circulate, model, and guide students more effectively during instruction.\r\n\r\nStudents reacted positively to the magnetic letters, they were so excited! They were eager to start spelling words we had been practicing during our mini lessons. Their joy and curiosity made it clear that these materials are sparking their interest in exploring language. Some even asked, \"¿Podemos usar las letras otra vez mañana?\" which shows how much they look forward to practicing.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to use the magnetic letters to focus on creating complete sentences, not just words, in Spanish. This will help students transfer their phonics practice into meaningful reading and writing experiences. With the laminated resources from the thermal pouches, students will continue to rotate through centers that reinforce blending, segmenting, and spelling. The goal is to help them build a strong foundation in Spanish literacy while keeping the activities hands-on, engaging, and reusable.","fullyFundedDate":1746491348230,"projectUrl":"project/interactive-spanish-phonics-fun/9193676/","projectTitle":"Interactive Spanish Phonics Fun","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Montenegro","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5829139"},{"teacherId":2478993,"projectId":7371821,"letterContent":"Thank you very much for your generous donations. These cushions have made it more comfortable for them and they are portable, so they can move around the room and use them when needed. We are at our desks for a lot of time, so I like to get the students up and moving every hour. My students have really enjoyed these new books! Unfortunately there are not a ton of high interest books in Spanish for my grade level of students. They are older and are mainly interested in chapter books, especially graphic novels. That's the trend right now. They were excited to see the new books added to our classroom library! Many of them read them during our guided reading time. I have even had a few students write book reports on some of them.\r\nThe gift card has helped me greatly as well.
