I have been fortunate to teach at Vantage Point since 1995; our students are alternative, at-risk youth who are in jeopardy of graduating from high school for a myriad reasons. Our students have overcome, or are overcoming: homelessness, addiction, family and relationship dynamics, mental health issues, incarceration, and academic struggles, to name a few. They are intelligent, resilient, creative and passionate. They deserve the absolute best chance at becoming what their heart's desire by strengthening their affective and academic skills. I am proud to spend my days with them.

About my class
