I am requesting a subscription to the Scholastic magazine and/or colored paper to enrich the reading experience. The subscription would be utilized as a class reading activity and the colored paper used toward the magazine's related class projects suggested for science activities. I want my students to enjoy the reading experience. Each student will receive their own magazine to explore and practice reading strategies while gaining information in subject areas such as science and current events. My students are excited to learn about their current daily happenings. A magazine subscription will provides an awesome opportunity to reading about current events. More important is that group reading time in our class will provide a common thread discussions. I can't wait to to provide an authentic reading experience for my students.
