The students will be able to create labels to personalize their space and their materials. If they help in the creation of labeling materials, they will have more sense of ownership. If they assist in the creation process, the will be able to have a sense of pride in their work. Feeling proud is a great motivator for success. I would also look into creating a classroom themed kind shirt with them because in our school on Wednesdays we wear our kindness gear. It would be so awesome to be able to wear something the students created about being kind. I would also use it for my athletic teams. Spirit gear can be so expensive, and personalizing it makes it even more expensive. I would work with my team in creating spirit gear for the athletes to wear and show pride in themselves and their team.
