There are numerous benefits, especially for younger children in regards to proximity and ability to learn and process information. My students need a space where they can sit, have their own space, and be able to focus and process content in ways that are unique to themselves. Students need opportunities to physically move to different areas of the classroom throughout learning, as sitting at desk for multiple hours is not what is best for my second grade students. The makeshift carpet in the classroom currently, does not allow students to have their own personal space and this can be distracting from learning. Help us get a spacious classroom carpet to facilitate a smoother learning process.
