My classroom is more than 60% second language learners. This is much like the rest of the Laurel Dell K-5 school. The children and parents are extremely motivated. Second language learners quickly reach English fluency. They come with the highest hopes. The parents start the year immediately donating any low cost classroom items that are needed from white board markers to pencils because they understand the importance of their child's education. You can tell how much these parents and families care just by chatting with their children. The children are a mirror of their families. I am honored to be woking with them and know it is my job to give them the very best opportunities. I will work hard to motivate my class this year in math and science. I am depending on support from Donors Choose!
