These books will help my students have a choice in how they learn and experience the topic. Nothing benefits a student's language skills more, in my experience, than increasing their independent reading. By having access to these books, and implementing book clubs, students will be able to choose their own books, which will help them to enjoy independent reading time more, while also giving them the opportunity to interact and engage in discussions about the books they're reading with their peers. With these books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of titles that will allow them to self differentiate and read independently at their own grade level. They will be able to choose books that interest them, instead of being assigned a title that the whole class is reading. The best way to increase reading and writing ability in any given student is to get them to read more, and these books will help my students to be able to grow their language abilities.
