My students are enjoying reading a variety of books in the classroom and for them to take them home and share with their families helps build to bridge home and the classroom. The children take home five books a week from my library to read for their reading log. Therefore the children do not have many books left for them to read in the classroom. By sponsoring this project you will be helping extend our library and giving us a variety of books to use in our guided reading center. We are learning to write stories and with more books provides us with new words and ideas for us to write about. I am requesting a carpet, books, and storytelling paper to add to our library. Everyone has a story and the storytelling paper gives the children a chance to tell their story.
